Textile manufacturer Borana Weaves IPO is all set to open for subscription on May 20, 2025. The IPO price has been fixed between Rs. 205 and Rs. 216 per share with an aim to raise Rs. 145 crore.
So, what’s in it for you? Let’s break it down below.
Borana Weaves is offering a fresh issue of up to 67.08 lakh equity shares. This means no existing shareholders are offloading their stakes—everything raised will go straight into the company.
The IPO will remain open from May 20 to May 22, with a special bidding window for anchor investors opening a day earlier on May 19 – at the higher end of the price range.
What Does Borana Weaves Do?
Borana Weaves specializes in producing unbleached synthetic grey fabric (raw material) used in creation of clothes, curtains, upholstery, and more.
The company was founded in 2020, so it is relatively young – but it has built a solid presence in Surat, Gujarat textile belt—a region known as a major hub for synthetic fabrics in India.
Where Will the Money Go?
The company plans to use the IPO funds for several key purposes:
- Setting up a new manufacturing unit in Surat to increase fabric production.
- Meeting working capital needs, such as paying suppliers and managing daily operations.
- General corporate expenses, which include business development, marketing, and operational improvements.
Mangilal Ambalal Borana, Chairman and Managing Director of the company, said that the move will help scale production without compromising on product quality or efficiency.
He said, “Over the years, we’ve grown steadily in the synthetic textile market. This IPO will give us the push needed to expand manufacturing capabilities and meet rising demand.”
Why This IPO Matters
The textile sector in India is booming, especially with growing demand for synthetic fabrics. The grey fabric segment, while not flashy, forms the backbone of a large part of the textile industry.
For investors looking at IPOs in manufacturing or mid-sized industrial companies, Borana Weaves offers a mix of growth potential and strategic investment in a core sector. The focus on synthetic grey fabric gives it a niche advantage in a high-demand market.
